Neutral Air w/ Mirrored Fatality: In Dedication of Láwû

Los Angeles, 18.03.25

experimental glitch grindcore

I am 1/2 of the two headed beast that made mirrored fatality. Last week we lost Lawu to a car crash and honestly nothing has felt right since. Mirrored fatality was a project that started 6 years ago with just two borrowed guitars and we created a world out of it that we were able to share in so many places. We expanded and evolved and grew into the people we were and transformed so many with our work. I am currently in the process of helping Lawu transition out of this realm and honestly this is the hardest thing I have ever done. I have had to tap into a strength inside of me that I did not know I had. Losing them felt like I lost them and I died too. Our connection has depth that I can never put into words. The first song on this is the song I sang to them before they were cremated. We spent 6 years making LABUAD MEKLOOQ and this album will forever be a lasting archive of their legacy. The pain of grief is so jarring because I can feel all this pain inside of myself but there is nothing external to show for it. I have never felt pain like this in my life but I hope to do what we always did together with pain which is transmute it. I put a song at the end that I made for them called road dogs because they were my soulmate, ride or die, life partner, and we built an entire universe together. The loss this world experienced from us losing Lawu is cruel, we deserved to continue to imagine the future we were conjuring. I hope that these songs can continue to act as a vessel to honor them. Each of our songs is a spell, please check out the lyrics and titles and more of the reason behind them on our website, mirroredfatality.com

We poured everything into Mirrored Fatality, and now these are some legacies that we can have of Láwû. everytime i sing parts of our song for them i can almost hear their voice singing it with me or envision us together on stage. singing these songs to them as a call of mourning has been something that brings me solace. i hope they can help you grieve and release too
