Neru Thee Fourth Fugee is a multidimensional vocalist + lyricist + composer + producer + activist + model who was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. She's an independent artist who's sound ranges from Ambient, Funk, Neo-Soul, Hip Hop to Psychedelic using all of these elements to form her own genre.
Neru's trance like kaleidoscopic harmonies creates a thought provoking mind bending experience that allows you to use both hemispheres of your brain simultaneously. Her abstract lyricism and transcendental harmonies reminds you of an early Parliament Funkadelic with facets of Ms. Hill while still creating her own original lane.
She's graced platforms such as Sway In The Morning, Colors Studios, Pigeons and Planes, Ladygunn and have shared stages with the likes of Sun Ra Arkestra, IDK, Danny Brown, The Roots, Oddisee, Raheem Devaughn, JpegMafia, Future Island, Dan Deacon, Earthgang & many more.
In 2021, Neru founded a collective called "AstroKnot" collective, equipped with a slew of multidimensional artists from all art mediums from music and yoga to healing and visual art.
This mix was moderated by AstroKnot's DJ Yerba Bruja and includes music from AstroKnot's own Chink Jones, Karlito FREEZE, snypab, and Qawiy blended with inspirations such as Sun Ra Arkestra, George Clinton, Q-Tip The Abstract, bbymutha and more.
