Nave Mãe is the alias of Frederico Mendes, a Portuguese Label Manager and Art Director from Porto who currently resides in the nation's capital of Washington D.C. He started his musical career back in 1998 as an MC for one of the most iconic rap groups in Portugal - Matozoo. Heavily influenced by the early jungle and dubstep movement emanating from London, Frederico became a DJ in 2009 and has shared the booth with the likes of Mala, Badawi, Buraka Som Sistema, and Batu on several occasions.
